Yes you read that correctly. After a two year hiatus, trance is finally returning BBC Radio 1’s “Essential Mix” series on February 13, courtesy of genre-icons Aly & Fila. The past two years saw over 100 Essential Mixes played, so it’s only fitting that these true-to-their-roots artists deliver the mix, as one for the trance community is certainly overdue.
It will be interesting to see what the mix will contain, as they’ve been busy releasing tracks from other artists through their Future Sound of Egypt label, one can only hope for a number of unreleased Aly & Fila originals.
