It’s not often that you see UK artists rooted in grime/hip hop, like Stööki Sound for example, make it across the pond that we call the Atlantic to much success. That said, Stööki Sound aren’t your normal grime duo and their latest track definitely goes above and beyond.
There’s something about the simplicity of the lyrics and the funky trap vibes that make “Stage Dive” feel the poster boy for successful grime/trap crossover tracks. With LA-based MC Marky D on the cut, this track oscillates perfectly between gritty underground club anthem and main-room trap banger thanks to its undeniably catchy hook.
