Habstrakt – My People

He seemed to grow from strength to strength in 2015, and he’s sure to continue building hype for himself this year. We are of course referring to French bass producer Habstrakt, who throws together dubstep, future house and bass together in seriously impressive style, as demonstrated in his latest EP for Never Say Die, My People.

It all kicks off with the title track, a fairly chilled number – or so you think, before it descends into an array of bass snatches and a quicken in pace. “Cheezus” and “Back” soon follow, both using similar ideas, although they refer more that fresh, bassy house sound mentioned previously. “She Goes” closes out My People, heading down a slightly darker tip with its tight-knit drum patterns and rugged synth arrangements.

Be sure to grab this one here.
