Steve Angello Enlisted as Executive Producer of a Second Scripted EDM TV Show

This year might be bigger for Steve Angello than we thought. After leaving Swedish House Mafia behind two and a half years ago, Angello went on to shift focus on his label Size Records and then onto the making of his new album Wild Youth, which is coming out later this month. But news has surfaced that the producer and DJ will be working on EDM in a new way, as well.

Along with Primary Wave Entertainment, Steve Angello is set to be an executive producer of a scripted television series that centers on the world of electronic dance music. Also on board the project will be PWE Senior Manager Ben Press, music video director Gregory Alosio, Martin Management’s Sharlene Martin-Ludwig, Cult Collective’s Pia Lindstrom, and Steve’s wife Isabel Adrian.

The show currently has no stars casted for the potential series, but Primary Wave is actively searching for actors and actresses perfect for show. A couple of venues have expressed interest in working with the new series and the show will feature music from Steve Angello.

Although this seems like the only on-screen development EDM has garnered, it seems that this genre has appeared in other facets, such as the Diplo-produced Major Lazer series based on the music of the same name; and we all can’t forget the box-office flop that was We Are Your Friends starring eye-candy superstar Zac Efron. There is even another show in the works called The Drop that also features Steve Angello as an executive producer.
