Whether or not you’re a fan of rock music, it cannot be denied that the band Guns N’ Roses have had a massive impact on the musical landscape since they graced us with their presence on the radio and in sold-out arenas. Though you might not know it, they have even been involved in electronic music when GNR guitarist Slash teamed up with producers Chuckie and Betatraxx on the track “Rocktronica,” where the guitarist even performed the track live at Ultra Music Festival’s main stage in 2013. But since the group’s messy break-up years ago, and Axl Roses‘ recent absence during the group’s induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it seemed that this legendary rock band wouldn’t get together any time soon…until today.
Recently revealed through a variety of sources, Guns N’ Roses will reunite with founding members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan at Coachella 2016 as headliners. Over at Billboard, the news has spilled that the band is planning a huge 25-date stadium tour, as well. According to reports, the band is asking for anywhere between $3 – $8 million per show, and tickets to catch the reunited band could range between $250 to $275.
Just for some perspective on the gravity of this situation, the last time Slash and Axl Rose performed together as Guns N’ Roses was on July 17, 1993 – over twenty years ago. Since then, the only remaining member who tours as Guns N’ Roses is Axl Rose with new members who replaced guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Matt Sorum. The last album Guns N’ Roses ever released with the original members was The Spaghetti Incident in 1993 and since then the only other album GNR released with the new lineup was Chinese Democracy in 2008. Although this get-together and tour spells a long desired dream come true for many rock fans, there are no news of the group working on new material or a new album anytime soon.
