A message to electro house and big room fans: buckle your seatbelts – and maybe even drink some water – as Martin Garrix is breaking in the New Year with an utterly inordinate collab with two youngsters, Mesto and Justin Mylo.
This first-of-its-kind New Year’s present adds a new sense of bounce to an already energetic genre, and who better to thrust it upon the EDM world than the illustrious Dutch legend himself. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I heard this at every music festival I attend in 2016. It combines the old-school jump of TJR and Will Sparks with the modern zest of Garrix and the likes of KSHMR.
Spinnin’ must be kicking themselves over this one, as their indolent stubbornness to relinquish ownership of Garrix’s tracks may now take them out of the driver seat for the next big movement of EDM. The track, hilariously titled “Bouncy Bob,” is being released on December 31st as a free download, so good luck trying to conceal your anticipation in the meantime. Take a listen below!
