Based on the impact that Jamie xx’s solo debut had this year, you might be forgiven if you happened to forget that he is the main producer behind the band The xx. The band’s first two albums are special in their innovation and eagerness to break the mold from typical pop tropes, and Jamie xx’s In Colour gives us a lot of hope for any future work they put out.
A recent Facebook post gives hope that their third album is coming sooner than later.

It’s been four years since 2012’s Coexist, and Jamie xx has been busy on his own touring and producing for his solo work, so fans are hopeful that 2016 will produce the third The xx album. However, only time will tell.
