Producers Graves and ASKA have teamed up to release a one-of-a-kind and oddly informative collaboration, titled “There Are No Penguins In Alaska.” Featuring a deadly vocal loop and a consistently evolving percussion section, the beat comes as the perfect tool for a middle-of-the-set heater. It’s currently available for free download here.
Beginning with a swell of echoes and deep, resounding bass tones, snippets of the approaching vocals start to accompany a short snare roll. Suddenly, the full rhythm emerges, characterized chiefly by an unstoppable and dynamic sub bass and sharp snare. The vocal loops shift octaves and arrangements throughout the length of the track while the overlaying percussion is complemented by a new snap, crackle or pop with each new turn. The song’s energy is maintained without rest, allowing the components to take turns occupying the spotlight.
