For the first time, the essential mix is coming to the United States for a series of special events, says Pete Tong.
The man has been hosting the essential mix for 20 years, and recently moved to Los Angeles, so perhaps it’s most appropriate that the essential mix makes its debut in the City of Angels.
The event will take place at Exchange LA on January 22, and will feature sets from Richie Hawtin, Lee K, and Pete Tong himself. 
“The Essential Mix has always been about championing what’s new and next,” said Pete Tong. “So much has happened to electronic music in America in the last five years, and much of that change has been born out of LA, and the community of artists and industry professionals that live here. We’re incredibly lucky to kick start this American series with Richie, who has been such an influential artist in the story of American techno music.”
