The year is almost over, but that isn’t stopping producers from leaving their mark on 2015 with days to spare. Today Your EDM is premiering one such track: Dutch duo East & Young drops one of the best progressive tracks of the year with “Elevate,” a wonderful fusion of progressive and house that caps 2015 with a bang.
A consistent beat and a quick, muted vocal sample kick off the track, with uplifting chords dressing it with a warm melody. The mid-track breakdown brings in the central vocal splice, a warped chorus that’s accentuated by the addition of leading, melodic chords. The drop of the track adds some claps and plucky synths for good measure, reinforcing its progressive and house roots. The second drop ties in the vocal splice, adding a perfect bookend to the track. Thanks to Big Beat Records for giving this track a worthy release.
