Billboard‘s Hot 100 collects the most popular songs in the United States week after week, and at the end of the year Billboard ranks the top 100 songs of the year. The EDM genre only recently started receiving attention on the Hot 100 year-end lists, and the Hot 100 of 2015 list ranked some of the biggest EDM hits of the year in top spots.
The highest ranked EDM track on the chart epitomized the tropical house trend of 2015: the Felix Jaehn remix of OMI‘s “Cheerleader” hit #11. Following closely at #16 is “Lean On,” the Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MØ track that’s also Spotify’s most streamed song of all-time. “Where Are Ü Now”, the Justin Bieber-assisted Jack Ü single, comes in right behind at #19. Other songs with top spots are the David Guetta, Afrojack, Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha song “Hey Mama” at #31, the DJ Snake spin of “You Know You Like It” by AlunaGeorge at #59, the Robin Schulz edit of “Waves” by Mr. Probz at #95 and the Calvin Harris and Disciples collaboration “How Deep Is Your Love” rounding out the list at #100.
