Tragedy strikes in Cairo, Egypt as a popular nightclub was plagued with violence Friday night. In a recently-uploaded YouTube video, Hot News shows the footage of the terrible attack that led to 16 deaths and 5 injuries.
The assailants used Molotov cocktails to bombard the venue, resulting in massive chaos and panic. According to Interior Ministry spokesman Abu Bakr Abdel-Karim, all the victims died of suffocation as the fire blocked the entrance, making it impossible for attendees to escape the underground nightclub.
According to Aljazeera, just a day following the attack, Egyptian police arrested two suspects who, as stated by The Interior Ministry, admitted to throwing the Molotov cocktails at the nightclub.
