2015 saw The Him top the chart twice with huge collaborations with fellow Dutchman Sam Feldt, but this time around the duo are doing it on their own with “Feels Like Home” – an uplifting, dance-floor killer.
Son Mieux’s mellow vocals serve as the perfect melodic balance to The Him’s signature piano-infused deep house, but judging from this one track it looks like the duo are expanding their production style. The new experimental combinations, particularly in the chorus, consisting of a sudden drop with trap elements are honestly Skrillex-esque, but a welcome surprise at that.
“Feels Like Home” marks The Him’s debut on SoundCloud record label Daily Deep, but I’d definitely expect to see them solicited for a second single on the label in the near future!
