I’ve been a fan of Ray Volpe’s for a while now, but I’m really loving the direction he’s been taking his music in for pretty much all of 2015. Dubstep is sort of falling out of style (but not really), and future is taking over. Ray has found a way to make the best of both worlds and create “Take Me” featuring the magnificent vocal stylings of Joe Erickson.
Crooning vocals create a phenomenal hook, but the bassline and top line create quite a glorious musical dance that rests ever so gently on the ears. It induces an insatiable appetite for more, to the effect that you find yourself listening over and over again. Truly a great track.
My only criticism, or desire, rather, is for a double time section somewhere in the tune… but hey, that’s what VIP mixes are for, right? 😉
