Awakenings is the 2-day techno festival that originated in the Netherlands. While it’s been a big hit in Europe, it’s taken a little while longer to reach the same level of popularity in the US. Their North American debut was EZoo this summer, and did well to keep the attention of festival attendees who packed the tent over the course of the three day bash. Now, Awakenings will return, but this time as a standalone event, the first in the states in almost 20 years of production.
As the event will take place on Valentine’s day next year, it’s fitting that Awakenings’ lineup includes married duo Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg going b2b. Also playing in NYC are Pan-Pot, and Julia Govor b2b Kamran Sadeghi at the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom. Pre-sale begins next week, so be sure to sign up for alerts on their website.
