Oliver Heldens has been absolutely killing the EDM game under both his original moniker and his new found obsession, the bass-driven HI-LO name. With the extraordinary success of his own label, Heldeep Records, a Spinnin’ Records imprint, it’s no wonder that the Dutch star can’t stop releasing new music.
His latest is finally here, for stream at least, and it might just be our favorite yet from this new direction. Putting emphasis on groove over energy, HI-LO delivers in full with “Ooh La La,” a nearly 4-minute, late night percussion heavy house classic which samples throwback hip/hop vocals in the best way possible.
