Australian producer duo Pluural have just pooled their musical talents to release a soulful and upbeat remix of Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down.” Featuring dynamic melodies and a funk/R&B backbone, the track comes as the perfect weekend cruiser. It’s currently available for free download here.
The track begins with the vocals from the original alongside a funky, plucked bass and a series of snaps. Ethereal tones lead toward the drop, where a simple percussion section is punctuated by gentle stabs of synth and distorted vocal chops. After a second swell, the song erupts back into the previous drop, this time with newfound energy and soulful grooves.
