TuneRise Is Giving Young Producers The Opportunity Of A Lifetime

It’s an interesting time in the EDM business. Too often, artists are forced to hold multiple roles aside from strictly producing the music, including manager, booking agent, videographer, photographer, tour manager, and more. Without these assets, growing your brand is a difficult feat; and without growing your brand, gaining these assets is equally difficult. It’s a catch 22.

New start-up TuneRise is hoping to take at least one of the challenges and make it easier.

“A&R executives rarely take chances on artists who don’t have a significant fan base and large social media presence, which is a shame because there are some amazing undiscovered artists out there who could benefit from a promotional spotlight and exposure to top music producers and executives,” TuneRise co-founder Ben de Ayora said.

This latest venture is not just the hopeful whimsy of a starry eyed millennial either; a solid supporting cast is helping to make everything come to fruition in just the right way. With people involved from Kygo‘s home label, Sony, to Kaskade‘s Warner… this opportunity is one for the books.

TuneRise is curated by veteran industry executives experienced in molding artists’ careers. The esteemed panel of judges include Matt Oliver, music publicist at Infamous PR; Ryan Saylor, music rights management at Sony/ATV; Carlos Cancela, A&R in charge of EDM at Warner Bros Records; Alexis Grapsas, music composer at Warner Bros. whose credits include Empire, Revenge and ShamelessDave Ireland, founder/editor at Magnetic Magazine; Paper Diamond, Electronic music producer and touring artist who has releases on Mad Decent, Pretty Lights Music, his own Elm & Oak records and has played some of the biggest festivals in the world; The Disco Fries, American electronic music duo that has collaborated with Tiesto and Calvin Harris; and Bradley Kohn, multi-platinum music engineer and producer working for such artists as Pendulum, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, The Qemists and Coldcut.

With a veritable arsenal of industry knowledge propelling them forward, TuneRise is looking to make a real, tangible, positive affect on bedroom producers and hopefuls looking to make a career out of their passion.

TuneRise launches today with their “inaugural contest that delves deep into the world of electronic dance music to find the next innovative DJ or electronic music producer.  Artists can sign up at TuneRise.co/Electronic. Some of the prizes include shopping spree from promotional partner Guitar Center, meetings with industry executives, social promotions and much more. Submissions are accepted until the final deadline on January 10, 2016.”

Make no mistake, this contest could very well alter the path of an artist’s career. If you’re interested in taking your business to the next level, enter now before it’s too late.
