Steve Angello Drops Half Of New Album, Stunning Music Video For “Remember”

Steve Angello‘s new album is finally – mostly – here. Entitled Wild Youth, the post-Swedish House Mafia solo artist delivered in full with the first half of this release. 6/13 tracks are out now and you can pick them up for your enjoyment here.

My favorite is undeniably “Wasted Love,” featuring Dougy Mandagi, which combines melancholy progressive house instrumentation with an introspective top line for an emotionally charged 6 minutes of listening bliss. But each of these 6 releases stands on their own two feet, while simultaneously fulfilling its role in the overarching storyline, which is what truly makes this release one of the most impactful of the year both within the electronic music sphere, and without.

The real mind-blowing part of this first reveal is the debut of his accompanying music video for “Remember,” featuring The Presets, which conveys a powerful message of abandonment from his previous partners, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. Although initially we did not draw the line from the song’s meaning to Angello’s perseverance from Swedish House Mafia, this music video, one of the best we’ve seen in EDM of late, makes the message to the world abundantly clear.

Angello even goes on to confirm his message in the comments of the video:

Steve Angello – Remember (feat. The Presets)Today marks the release of the first chapter of my debut solo album ‘Wild Youth.’ For the past three years since departing from Swedish House Mafia, I’ve dedicated myself to this album as part of following the creative path I feel so strongly about for myself. It’s been an incredibly personal and exposing process as the album chronicles my entire life. This video for “Remember” embodies an important part of my tale. I wanted to touch upon a time in my life that meant so much to me and hope you appreciate it as I do. I’ll be here with you all as we go live right now and will meet you in the comments section for any questions or thoughts you have. I really appreciate your support!Much Love S—APRE-ORDER ‘WILD YOUTH’ HERE (receive Chapter 1 automatically): http://smarturl.it/Wild-Youth
