Grey have been turning heads for a few months now thanks to their incredible acoustic guitar-fueled, indie-electronic renditions of the biggest hits of today. Their newest fits the same bill as yet another stellar official remix of good guy Zedd, this time for “Papercut,” an overwhelmingly forgotten track from his new album True Colors.
The mysterious duo put an incredible easy-listening twist on the track while retaining their gorgeously familiar signature sound for three and a half minutes of blissful transcendence. Dare I say it, Grey trump the original production by leaps and bounds – and, in close, turn a largely unremarkable original into an unforgettable masterpiece.
