Every time I click on a new Robotaki track the same thought enters my mind about one minute in, “I don’t know what I’m listening to, but I love it.”
Toronto’s most versatile producer (and trust me, we have a LOT of those) Robotaki, better known as Preston Chin, breathes new life into this Strange Talk single with some of the most elaborate production I’ve heard in awhile. Stylistically this one falls somewhere in-between nu-disco, indie pop, synthpop, and indie dance – I’m just not really quite sure where yet nor am I really sure just how seamlessly Robotaki is able to weave everything together to “paint this in gold”.
