There is so much great dance music outside of the US, Canada, and Western Europe. As festivals expand to South America and China, new artists who are making bold musical choices are beginning to surface in other countries. This latest track on Your EDM features a young talent from Brazil, I.Y.F.F.E (In Your Face Fuck Everything). With such a brash DJ name, it should come as no surprise that I.Y.F.F.E. is known for his prowess as a bass producer. After winning remixes for Seven Lions and Dirtyphonics/12th Planet on OWSLA and Dim Mak respectively, I.Y.F.F.E. became the go-to for hard hitting music in Brazil, alongside production partner Darth Vader. Recently, the two have parted ways, as the latter is quickly gaining recognition for his psy-trance alias Harmonika.
I.Y.F.F.E.’s first solo effort “Beats on Fire” is a trap-rap hybrid featuring hip-hop quartet Krime Fyter. The dancehall hook really ties this entire track together to help blur those genre lines just a little more.
