Producers V A L E N T I N E and Rojazu have just joined forces on a collaborative track simply titled “War.” With a distinct style and satisfying progression, the track breathes new life into the original work. It’s currently available for free download here.
The track begins with the strained and distant vocal sample from the original track, quickly rising in pitch to meet the drop. A rapid series of kick drums lays beneath stabs of brass and an arpeggiated, metallic blip that circulates around the space. Throughout the length of the track, the sections alternate between the two described above with different variations. Eventually, wide future bass synths fill in the silences of the main beat while a warm sub rattles underneath. The back and forth style of the song gives the listener time to appreciate its distinct segments and look forward to each energetic moment to come.
