Afrojack Talks About His Lavish Lifestyle In Short Interview

It’s no secret that Afrojack loves his toys. Among other things, he’s known for having a pretty expensive taste in cars, going so far as to recently purchase a $2.5 million Bugatti.

Seeing as it’s such a large expenditure for a DJ that probably spends more time in the air than on the ground, Las Vegas Weekly just had to ask about it in a short interview with the Dutch producer that was published yesterday.

You’re in the news now for your lifestyle as much as your music. Apparently you’ve placed an order for the new Bugatti Chiron supercar. How do you feel about that kind of exposure? Honestly, it’s really dope that if I wanna buy a new car everyone gets as excited about it as me. If you buy something cool, you always wanna tell all your friends about it, so I guess the press does it for me sometimes. But it doesn’t do anything for me or the music, so I don’t really care. I try to keep my family out of the picture—I want them to have their own lives and privacy. But with the stuff I do, my privacy disappears.

Afrojack’s exposure and posture make him a prime target for media scrutiny, so I suppose he has a point.

We’re hoping that he offers a coffee run to deadmau5 with his new whip, too.

The interview goes on to talk about his newest residency at Omnia, as well, and it seems to have given him some ideas.

Have you ever thought about creating and opening your own nightclub somewhere? Yes. I’ve been thinking a lot about that, but it’s still just in the idea phase.

Hard to say exactly what an Afrojack club would look like, or who it would cater too, but we’re willing to bet it might have some pretty clear Dutch influences.

He talks about Bieber, Halloween and more in the full interview which you can read here.
