This week’s picks for the 39th edition of our Conspectus series clearly stick out from the rest. These tracks cover the best sounds of three primary genres: bass house, future bass and progressive house. So, you’re either going wild at the club, getting lost in a trance with intense bass vibes or drowning in euphoria with melodic bangers. The first of these is CalumHood‘s “Get It,” which brings somewhat of a Disclosure vibe, but with a harder twist. Following this is the bass house/trap hybrid from the LA prodigy Sam F, “BAY 2 LA.” “Breathing” from Taptone & Capitale is by far one of the best future bass tracks I’ve heard this year, while Syneptic‘s “Loving You Now” is much less unique but much more catchy on terms of vocals and melody. Lastly is “Home” from the Moroccan duo Aymso & Kalen, which features soulful vocals overlaying a gorgeous melody and a main-stage-banging drop.
