Day 1 (Saturday 24th) of the highly anticipated Something Wicked festival has been cancelled due to worsening weather conditions in part caused by tropical moisture from Hurricane Patricia, and pressure from those in command.
Experts, local authorities, and the National Weather Service have described the current weather situation as “threatening.” It is advised not to travel to the Sam Houston Race Park venue and attempt entry.
Something Wicked has stated they do not wish to endanger their fans, and must follow the rules set by Harris County with which they are aligned. The cancellation of Day 2 (Sunday 25th) has not been decided yet, and Something Wicked are monitoring the weather carefully.
If you purchased a ticket for Day 1, the festival will publish refund information on Monday 26th. In the meantime, stay tuned for information on the situation regarding Day 2 of Something Wicked.
This is of course a huge disappointment for those involved, but a necessary precaution. Stay safe out there.
