Live electronic music continues to expand past the typical DJ set model. More and more artists are adapting to the changing tide of what people expect from live electronic music, and every genre from dubstep to house is jumping on the live act ship. Duke Dumont, a renowned house producer and DJ who only dabbled in live shows among his numerous DJ sets, debuted his comprehensive live show at Coachella earlier this year. The live performance adds two members to the show, with one member playing drums and another member playing on keys.
The live set-up is making its rounds across the United States right now, and in a week it will hit Orlando, Florida at Venue 578 on October 28. This date marks Dumont’s first headlining show in Florida that’s taken place outside of Miami, and despite falling on a Wednesday, the hype for the show can be felt across the central Florida EDM scene and all social media networks.
