It has been a little over a month since Oklahoma’s Backwoods Music Festival took place. Unfortunately one attendee died at the event, 34-year-old Patrick Murphy, after being detained by security.
Murphy’s autopsy report was released today, showing elevated levels of both cocaine and methamphetamine. The report and official statement from the state medical examiner’s office say the death was accidental, and due to “cocaine and methamphetamine toxicity.” However, it should be noted that his death is still being investigated as a possible homicide. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation released a statement through their spokesperson, still calling the case “open and active” as of today. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes up.
