Just one year after the #RESET of Toolroom Records, the label has once again reinvented the way we experience their roster. The ingenuity of the label is seemingly never ending and never fail to impress us with each progressive move they make. In their words:
“T1 is all about new and unexpected combinations of Toolroom’s leading artists. Featuring 7 unique, never been done before collaborations, this album is a way for us to really celebrate our artists’ talents and to challenge them with new creative partnerships.”
The album features seven exciting collaborations, kicking off between the legendary Mark Knight and good friends Prok & Fitch, on “Into My Life”. Weiss and Harry Romero also team up for what’s to be a staple club track, as is every track they touch, called “Let Me Show Ya”; make sure you turn this one up! Rene Amesz and Mendo strike gold with “Tribeca” which is a perfect blend of latin-influence with that intoxicating, underground house groove.
However, my favorite selection on the album is the product of Jamie K and Thee Cool Cats, “On Time”, that will sweep you away the minute you press play. There’s not a dull moment on this album, so give it a listen below and grab your copy on Beatport!
