Covers of one of this year’s biggest tracks have multiplied like a virus on a petri dish, but that’s not to say we’re annoyed of it … Okay, maybe a little bit. But stuff like this seems to make it all better.
On Planets took the cover of “Where Are Ü Now” by Emily Warren and Scott Harris and transformed it into a sultry sweet tune that oozes sugar. It has influences from jersey club and trap, perhaps some future in there too, for good measure. But the mixture of R&B vocals with a pounding bassline and rhythmic percussion makes for a crazy upbeat and melodic track that can turn anyone’s night around.
The track feels a little short by the end, but as in the cases of great tracks, that just makes you want to play it over and over again.
