Earlier this week, Autograf took to THUMP to announce that they had just signed a new deal with Counter Records, releasing a debut single to commemorate the occasion.
Like “Running.” before it, “Metaphysical” features a piece of physical artwork to accompany it (as Autograf so promised), featuring a surrealistic portrait of pop-icon Twiggy who was often recognized for challenging societal norms of her era.
“Meteaphysical isn’t about the origins of the Univerise. It’s about the reality we create in our own lives. When we peel back the layers, we’re all just human inside.”
The track features Autograf’s signature use of the vibraphone, with Jake holding down the fort as usual Z we get wrapped up in Janelle Kroll‘s sultry vocals. Strings, percussion kicks and piano chords all come intoto play and, as always, the attention to detail on the melody is there. I just can’t stop dancing to this one!
