Lady Gaga and Nile Rodgers are two names that we didn’t expect to see together anytime soon. But, today they have joined forces in an unexpected way, collaborating on a cover of Chic‘s “I Want Your Love,” in promotion of Tom Ford’s esteemed fashion line. The accompanying video very clearly lays out the purpose of the cover, but the audio experience doesn’t disappoint either.
In one fell swoop the pair of prestigious artists have practically revived Disco while simultaneously setting a new standard for fashion promotion and marketing. Rodgers, a long time collaborating favorite of Daft Punk, is no stranger to breaking rules and setting new trends, and that shines forth evermore in this three and a half minute homage.
