Shaq and Kobe, Skrillex and Diplo…Kid Kamillion and Jesse Slayter?! Looks like the new Dream Team is here.
Separately, these two young producers already have impressive resumes. Kid Kamillion took his New Orleans hip-hop roots and mixed it with an extensive knowledge of the NOLA Underground dance music culture to produce the perfect blend of high energy, house-levelling tunes. A bootleg of A-Trak’s “Heads Will Roll” caught the eye of none other than Diplo, who played the tune on BBC Radio 1. Now, he has releases on Boys Noize, and multiple collabs with another promising talent – Jesse Slayter
Slayter has had a similar approach to the top. After remixing Diplo & Swick’s “Keep It Gully,” he kept making high profile remixes, which took him to the promised land – releases on Mad Decent, Ultra Records and Fools Gold. Most recently, Slayter put out a remix of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” that took the internet by storm, but now that summer’s over, his eyes are set on this collaboration with Kid Kamillion.
Together, Kamillion and Slayter take various styles and mix them all together before adding a cherry on top. Whether you enjoy trap, electro-house, jungle terror, or even moombahton, then you’ll definitely appreciate the grimey drop and breakdown in “Bad Mouth.” Just bc sure to pre-soak your clothes to get all the filth from this track out of your clothes after you hear it.
