Ghastly – Get On This (Original Mix)

JEFF11_GetOnThis_fb504px

Bass house extraordinaire and fast rising star Ghastly has finally landed onto Diplo‘s Mad Decent, and with quite the entrance. Needless to say, we’re already in love with this ‘Get On This‘.  Bass house and its many offshoots can get stale quickly, but David Crow‘s productions have proved of a quality that is only seen from scene heavyweights (the Diplo‘s, Skrillex’s and even Jauz‘s of the world). ‘Get On This‘ does not disappoint in this regard, as the bass track is carefully weaved with energetic, funk-fueled plucks and leads, all gingerly sitting on a hotbed of bass.

While many tracks are discernible from producer to producer in any given genre, what’s special about Ghastly is the undoubtedly unique twist he crafts into his productions. ‘Get On This’ is a fine example of a forward thinking approach to a well known genre – an approach that builds instead of copies.
‘Get On This’ is out now on Mad Decent, and you can actually pick it up for free via Toneden.
