No one gives as much love to his homeland like Deadmau5 does. From running around town with celebrities and friends on his “Coffee Runs” to hosting a cat film festival in Toronto back in April, Joel Zimmerman proves his Canadian worth even when he’s not home. But this week, Deadmau5 will be giving back to his community in a different way.
Joining United Way Milton for the biggest fund raising campaign ever, the man in the over-sized mouse helmet will be performing at the Mohawk Race Track and Casino on September 25th (this Friday). The event will be stacked with many guest speakers that are leaders in business, union, government, and politics. The event will also include free parking, barbecue, and a family-friendly environment.
Deadmau5 has mentioned how stoked he is to be appearing as a special guest for the campaign. He had this to say on Twitter:
🙂 excited to see the track for the first time… lol, which is weird considering i’ve been here since Nov. HORSIES! https://t.co/GZrfhCIHmt

The non-profit organization has been around since 1982 and primarily raises money to funnel into social services in across Milton, Ontario. They support 29 different agencies and reach out to the men, women, and children of Milton who need their help. Even though the community has grown from 25,000 to 150,000 people in less than a year, United Way Milton’s goal is for the campaign to help them catch up to speed with the community they aim to serve.
