It’s a fantastic time to be a Skrillex fan. This year alone has seen him drop the highly anticipated collaborative album with Diplo, a collaboration with the rising producer Jauz, and playing shows as himself, as Jack Ü, and as Dog Blood with Boys Noize. His versatility with his own music and his label OWSLA continue to ramp up his notoriety as one of electronic dance music’s top musician. But even with a lot done in the span of 2015, Sonny Moore continues to push himself and create new tunes because making music is what he does best.
Most recently, patrons of Nest nightclub in London had a chance to see Skrillex drop his bass-laced tracks with a little surprise in between. Captured through a camera phone (like we’ve come to expect for every new ID we hear on the Internet), Skrillex is seen leading into and dropping a brand new head-banger that ends far too abruptly. Even though this new tune joins the ranks of many unreleased tracks Sonny has played this year, we can hope that it will come out at some point.
