Chicago-based trio Autograf have a well-established reputation as musicians preceding them, and having all come from visual art-based backgrounds it’s no surprise to see them heavily incorporating it in their releases. Staying true to their mantra of “making music for art,” the trio’s latest single “Running” sees them create original artwork to accompany the track, something they have also promised to do for the rest of their future releases. Originally conceived as a strict art project, “Running” now manifests itself into the vibrant, funky track it is today. With blissful vocal work coated atop percussion kicks and vibraphones, this single features Autograf’s signature funk-infused vibes that we’ve come to know and love.
