There are a few songs that emerge from seemingly out of nowhere every year and contribute heavily toward redefining our current interpretation of electronic music. This is one of those songs for 2015.
He releases music under the simple moniker of Stephen, and while that name is by no means remarkable, maybe that’s exactly the point here. His music is a quintessential blend of indie influence, acoustic instrumentation and electronic synthesis to result in ethereal, otherworldly productions which combines the best of all worlds involved. It’s perfectly written, perfectly produced, and the product of quite possibly one of the best new names in electronic music.
In a sentence: Disclosure meets Zhu meets an acoustic guitar, indie top-line and unbridled emotion for three and a half minutes of perfection.
