It’s hard to find a better mix-series in trance than Trance Nation, hosted by London-based Ministry of Sound. Each release showcases the best music from its respective year, curated and mixed by a top act in the scene. Previous years have seen such legends as Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, and Ferry Corsten behind the decks. Ministry of Sound fails to disappoint each year, pulling out all the stops to ensure Trance Nation lives up to standards.
2015’s compilation came in April and featured over 30 tracks mixed by Simon Patterson. As expected from a Trance Nation release, it left me praying for more.
And it seems my prayers were answered, as Ministry has plans to do something very special this year. They decided to unveil a second Trance Nation mix for the first time in over a decade, which is set for release in October. Unfortunately, the identity of the DJ responsible for this year’s second installment is still under wraps.
