Wiz Khalifa arrested in airport for riding skrillex and diplo’s favorite toy

The IO Hawk.

Not much needs to be said about this device now that Skrillex & Diplo have single-(double-?)handedly made it one of the most popular new forms of transportation nationwide. But in case you don’t have Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, television, a computer, or a pulse, it’s a self-balancing, weight-distributed travel device – a segway without the handlebars.

Walking down Hollywood Blvd at night on a weekend, you can see groups of people riding these devices and imitations up and down the sidewalk, but what about an airport?

Wiz Khalifa recently found out that the TSA at LAX aren’t too receptive to the new trend.

Another video that surfaced on Instagram (below) shows the aftermath just one minute later, with Wiz on the ground, and four or five police officers on his back and around him, ordering him to “stop resisting” as he calmly repeats, “I’m not resisting, sir.”

Now if this is the kind of treatment that cops show to an innocent civilian just walking riding through the airport, we can’t imagine what would happen if they saw Skrillex’s & Diplo’s crews rolling through.
