Following Steve Aoki‘s recent separation from his usual style and subsequent shift to a more pop-oriented work of collaboration with the likes of Linkin Park, the official music video for his track “Back To Earth” with Fall Out Boy has just been unveiled. Coming from his Neon Future I album, the song has an alternative edge to its lyrics and mood that stem from Fall Out Boy’s inherent sound. Steve Aoki’s production is based heavily in harsh electro synths and screeches, adding new character to the vibe.
The video itself is something entirely unique. A futuristic, steampunk world is depicted, in which a girl must battle masked enemies as they pursue her through the woods. With the help of Steve Aoki, and the not-so-subtle Smirnoff sponsorship, she is able to use her powers to defeat the assailants and share a drink with the guys.
