Indiana University: Welcome Week Block Party

Being from Indiana it’s always exciting to see a festival/concert lineup filled with music that I actually like. Why? Well, let’s just say this State is not exactly the most musically thriving one of the other 49. Fortunately, I happen to attend Indiana University in Bloomington, which brings in a lot of world-renowned artists, especially from the electronic music world (my favorite of course).

Considering IU is one of the biggest party schools in America it’s safe to say that their 2015 installment of the Welcome Week Block Party is going to be more than satisfactory. The lineup is incredibly diverse and includes groundbreaking artists Capital Cities, Adventure Club, Action Bronson, and Phoebe Ryan. The event takes place in Bloomington this Saturday, August 22nd in the parking lot of Fee Lane and 13th Street (just south of the McNutt dormitory). It is only open to IU Bloomington students. Purchase your $30 ticket here.

After attending last year’s concert (featuring Krewella, B.o.B., Skizzy Mars, and more), I have high expectations because I had an absolute blast. Watch the 2014 recap here:

IU students…join me this Saturday for the Union Board’s 3rd installment of the Welcome Week Block Party! I promise you won’t be disappointed; it’ll be an exciting kickoff to the start of the 2015 school year.
