A few weeks ago, Disclosure announced the full list of collaborators from their upcoming sophomore album Caracal. Among heavy-weight artists like The Weeknd and Lorde, the list included a number of up-and-coming vocalists. In lieu of revealing one of their tracks with a radio friendly feature, Disclosure chose to put one of their lesser-known collaborators in the limelight: British singer Kwabs.
Kwabs appears prominently on “Willing & Able”, the fourth track officially revealed from Disclosure’s next LP. The duo unveiled the song with a fantastically psychedelic music video, but the core record plays it a bit too safe. As opposed to the previous single “Holding On” with Gregory Porter, Disclosure’s nuanced production takes a backseat to Kwabs’ satisfying yet familiar singing. The brotherly production outfit originally unveiled the single at their Wild Life Festival in the U.K., accompanied by a live performance from Kwabs.
