I was at Serenity Gathering, a camping festival at the La Jolla Indian Campgrounds, earlier this year and found myself with a lot of free time between sets that I just wasn’t personally interested in. I actually mentioned to a friend, “You know what would be awesome? If they just set up a projector and had movies going all night long for people who just wanted to chill.”
Dirtybird Campout is basically making that a reality, which is why I’m so excited. But in reality, it’s doing so, so much more.
Dirtybird Campout, which is set to take place October 2-4, just released its Games/Activities lineup, and for someone like me who pines for the days when I went to sleepaway camp in the summer, it might honestly be better than the artist lineup, especially considering the artists are the ones leading the activities! 
Among the activities being offered are Archery, Tug-O-War, Horseshoes, Slip-n-Slide, Kickball, Sack Races, and of course the notorious Dirtybird BBQ will be there with the “most outrageous grill off to date.”
