Landis Remixes Deorro and Rick Ross [Your EDM Premiere]

Landis has been an artist on the rise, releasing one track after another whenever possible. He’s captured the eyes and ears of many electronic dance music fans, and we can only expect his fan base to grow. He just released his remix of Rick Ross and Deorro’s track “Hustlin” and I must say this is one of the best bounce tracks I’ve heard in a while. Every part about it is in your face, wild and high energy. Landis did a great job with keeping the vocal samples intact while incorporating his unique style in the tune. This is bound to get anyone at a festival or event up and moving in an instant. I am certain everyone who is a bounce lover will enjoy this track for a really long time. I was excited to learn more about this amazing producer, so we got to ask a few quick question about Landis and his musical endeavors:

When did you decide that you wanted to make music?

Back in 2009, I was 17 at the time and my brother brought me to Ultra Music Festival. I remember leaving the festival in complete awe of how much energy the music and the scene had. I was hooked and wanted to do anything I could to be a part of it.

What makes your sound so different from what’s being put out there already?

Miami Bounce is the sound that I am developing. I like to define it as a mix between groove and bounce but I’m starting to try out some Latin elements as well and more live instrumentation. Because I am not trying to make a track that sounds like another artists style my productions tend to have a unique flavor.

What are some specific goals you are wanting to reach in this industry?

Having my own Sirius XM show to showcase my music along with up and coming artists I discover is one of my top goals. I want to get in the studio with certain producers like KSHMR or Nom De Strip and learn some of there production techniques. Lastly being on tour and on the festival circuit.

What kind of emotions or messages do you want to convey to the world with your music?

I want my music to be like a double shot of espresso. Whether it be a hard work out or a pre-game before a club night, my music is meant to get you going!

Who is your number one inspiration in the industry? Who do you look up to the most?

Well I am inspired by all the big guys who made it with their own sound, so the obvious ones like Skrillex or Calvin Harris. But my personal favorite is Gesaffelstein, he has such an amazing vibe during his live shows and his productions are unbelievable.

Lastly, can you give us a sneak peak of whats to come?

I’m starting to branch out with my sound a bit and experiment. I want to continue developing my Miami Bounce sound but also explore my progressive melodic abilities a bit more. I’m working on collaborations with the Disco Fries, David Solano, Breathe Carolina, Apek and some other big ones that I can’t reveal quite yet!
