Zedd‘s True Colors tour is finally underway, kicking off in South-East Asia with support from Haywyre. For his stop in the Philippines, Zedd did something very special though. Despite the tour stop being sold out, he, at the last minute, opened up 500 additional tickets which could be obtained for free in exchange for contributions to his “Happiness In A Bag Project.”
LISTEN UP, MANILA!
I’m giving away 500 tix for tonight in exchange for an EDUCATIONAL PACK or RELIEF PACK. See below: pic.twitter.com/LSh9Y2dWgT— Zedd (@Zedd) August 8, 2015
The charitable community outreach effort asked for assorted school supplies or food donations and in exchange offered upper-box level seats to the first 500 participants. The show was reportedly amazing beyond belief to the point that 25 year-old Anton boldly named the Philippines as one of his favorite places to play.
“I’m always excited to be here. When people ask me in interviews where I love to play I will always mention the Philippines because it has a really special place in my heart for sure… I’ve been coming back for a reason. I’ve always been seeing a lot of passion, a lot of support, a lot of love, and a lot of attention to details as well in the Philippines.”
With the world-wide tour just getting underway, there’s no telling what Zedd might have in store for additional stops this coming year. See when he’s coming to a city near you here.
