Move over Flume… there’s a new kid in future bass town, and his name is Ray Volpe. Though this young producer has stayed mostly within the bass – trap, dubstep – realm, it’s no reason to pigeon hole him and I’m damn glad that he found his way out of that hole for this monstrous remix of Oliverse’s “Can You Tell.”
A mixture of Kill Paris-esque crunchy basslines and blissful synth lines, along with the vocals from the original, this remix is a powerful accomplishment in Ray Volpe’s laundry list of achievements. I would hate to actual pigeon hole him, but at the same time, I really want to hear what else he can make in this realm.
