I’m gonna go ahead and say it, HARD Summer is THE best festival in America right now. Over the course of two days, attendees had the chance to see the likes of Ganz, Mija, The Glitch Mob, Dillon Francis, The Chemical Brothers, Ratatat, and Jack Ü. Many of these sets were legendary, but few could top the talent Jack Ü brought to main stage.
Skrilly and Diplo closed out the weekend, landing a set from 8:45-10:00PM. Within their hour and fifteen minutes, the duo brought out 5 guest performers, adding elements of live performance into their headlining set. 2Chainz, Fly Boi Keno, CL, AlunaGeorge, and Justin Bieber all made their way to the stage to perform with Jack Ü, performing their respective songs with the duo. It was truly amazing to see such big names grace the stage, but I couldn’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed. If you remember their Full Flex Express set, many of the tracks were similar. And while the special guests were definitely exciting to see in person, they weren’t ‘new’ and had definitely been seen performing with Skrill and Dip before. But this is really only a small complaint; check out some videos from the set and see for yourself!
