What happens when the sun sets on Tropical House? Answer: this latest single from Kygo. The Norweigan producer, who helped usher in the genre last year, is proving that there’s more to this new trend than steel drums and good vibes.
“Nothing Left” doesn’t stray from being downtempo, but focuses more on plucky strings and darker piano intro. The track overall feels much more sensual than Kygo’s remixes and singles which is due in part to the rich baritone of singer Will Heard. Slowly but surely, Kygo is redefining the limitations of the genre, and “Nothing Left” is a big step in the right direction. If you’re still on the fence about Tropical House give this one a listen; you might be surprised.
