Kaskade Drops Newest Progressive Single From Forthcoming Album

Among dance music fans, Kaskade represents one of the top headlining talents in the genre. However, the longtime producer only just began crossing over to mainstream audiences this past year. This likely resulted from his recent signing with Warner Music Group, a massive record label currently housing such talents as GorillazKnife Party, and numerous others. Warner plans to release Kaskade’s ninth artist album this fall as a joint venture with his own label Arkade, and the progressive maestro just unveiled the second lead single from the untitled LP.

“Disarm You” finds Kaskade in familiar territory, collaborating with a female vocalist and utilizing uplifting melodies and chords fit for play at any EDM festival’s main stage. Ilsey, no stranger to collaborating with producers like Robin Schulz, brings a certain rawness to “Disarm You” that’s distinct from previous Kaskade collaborators. The core production plays it safe, with such variations as a brief house synth and a marching-esque drum pattern far too fleeting to make a lasting impact. Kaskade originally premiered the song during his EDC Vegas set a few weeks prior.
